Papers of Clyde Fitch 1890-1908.

The collection contains several letters affirming friendship with a Mr. Fullerton and several more letters asking producers to read plays, inquiring if theaters need short plays, explaining delays in production, replying to an actress seeking parts, and returning thanks for a Christmas greeting. On the verso of one letter is the draft of a reply concerning a business proposition.

Richard Montgomery Field (1834-1902) was manager of the Boston Museum from 1864 to 1898. The Boston Museum began staging musical performances in 1841, then added dramatic performances in 1843 and continued presenting shows for sixty years.
